Nazareth Farmers Market, Allentown Fair Highlight Holiday Weekend

It's the last unofficial weekend of summer.

This weekend promises to be an active one as people enjoy their last summer fling attending barbecues, fairs, picnics and pools and maybe some time at the Jersey Shore.

If you're staying home, there are plenty of activities close by:

• The Nazareth Farmers Market will be open along with one in Easton this weekend, offering good eats, produce and wares.

• The Great Allentown Fair wraps up this weekend with performances by Toby Keith, Jeff Dunham and the traditional demolition derby.

• Toby Keith will also be making an appearance Saturday at an Allentown liquor store.

• Pools in Palmer Township will have their last hurrah this holiday weekend. Anyone who wants to cool off or chill out can head to the Palmer Community Pool or Stones Crossing Swim Club.
