Gas Prices Continue to Decline

While gas prices declined in March, oil prices crept higher; both are indicators of an economic recovery, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report.

The national average this week is $3.637 for a gallon, down 2.1 cents from last week.

In the Lehigh Valley, it will cost you an average of $3.62 a gallon to fill up your tank, down from $3.65 a week ago and $3.89 this time last year.

In Bucks and Montgomery counties, gas prices dropped another 2.6 cents a gallon to an average of $3.625 -- that’s 27.4 cents lower than last year’s prices.

The Pennsylvania average retail price for a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline is $3.653, down 2.1 cents from a week ago.

Nearby, the cheapest price for regular is $3.60 at Fuel Cell in Beflast, $3.62 at 7-Eleven and $3.63 at Top Star on Route 191.
