BAG HUNGER CAMPAIGN

On September 20, the staff of Second Harvest Food Bank and GIANT Food Stores celebrated a successful Bag Hunger Campaign with a check presentation and volunteer project at Sharon’s Pantry, Second Harvest Food Bank warehouse.

The Bag Hunger Campaign ran from August 28 thru September 8 across all 171 GIANT Food Stores with a grand total of $773,231collected from all stores. GIANT Food Store customers donated to their local food bank during checkout through the Bag Hunger in-store campaign. The Bag Hunger Campaign is only one of many ways that GIANT Food Stores supports Second Harvest Food Bank’s mission to end hunger in the region.
