Local Author Releases Fourth Book at Age 13

Louise Marie Miller, continues her series with the release of Magic Charms: Canadian Castaways

This young lady believes that anything is possible.

One cool spring day when Louise Marie Miller was just five years old, she announced to her parents that she was going to go catch a butterfly. She ran off with her toy butterfly net in her hands while her parents exchanged a worried glance, one that questioned how they would handle the disappointment of their innocent daughter when she would return with her tiny net empty. But that didn’t happen. Within a minute, Louise came running back to where they sat to show them the beautiful butterfly that she had swooped into the small net.

That sunny afternoon, Louise not only learned for herself, but also taught her parents, a very valuable lesson. It’s simple: Believe in yourself and anything is possible.

Five years later, that same little girl followed another dream. She began writing a story, a story that developed into something even greater. At the young age of 10, Louise had written and self-published a 94-page chapter book, titled Magic Charms: The Adventure Begins.

And what an adventure it became.

Within a few short months, a media specialist from a local elementary school found out about Louise’s accomplishment and invited the young author to speak to students at the district’s elementary schools. This allowed Louise to share her message with other young minds, inspiring them to believe in themselves and follow their own dreams.

Encouraged by her audience, Louise began composing a second book in her Magic Charms series. Less than a year later, at the age of 11, Louise had self-published the second chapter book in her series, Magic Charms: The Kangaroo Kraze, which has recently been recognized internationally as a finalist in the 2019 Wishing Shelf Book Awards. As book sales increased, Louise began saving the proceeds, which she ultimately used to make a donation to the non-profit organization K9s for Warriors.

The budding author continued to share her message of believing that anything is possible with school-aged students and even received the opportunity to meet multiple school librarians from across the state at her own local author booth during the 2019 Pennsylvania School Librarian Association Annual Conference in Hershey, PA. As she greeted new faces, Louise began telling readers about a very special non-profit organization, MIRA USA, which provides guide dogs for blind children in the United States. All the while, this talented young lady was busy writing a third book in her rapidly growing series. At age 12, Louise proudly announced the release of Magic Charms: Penguins in Paris. This time, she used the money acquired from book sales to make a donation to MIRA USA.

Now at age 13, Pen Argyl native Louise Marie Miller is pleased to announce the upcoming release of the fourth story in this inspiring series, Magic Charms: Canadian Castaways. This 200-page addition to her successful series of chapter books is available to readers NOW!! Personalized copies, signed by the author, are also available for local (contactless) pick-up.
