Local Young Author Completes Second Book in Series
Meet Louise Marie Miller, an 11-year-old self-published author from Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania.
Louise Miller is no ordinary 5th grader. Sure, she likes to ride her bike and play soccer with her sister like other kids her age do. But Louise has another hobby, one that brings her imagination to life and into the lives of others. Louise is a writer, a self-published author of a children’s fiction series of books called Magic Charms.
Before she closes her eyes for the night, Louise can often be found hovering over a tattered yellow notebook with a pen in her hand. This notebook contains paragraph after paragraph of detailed adventures of a courageous group of friends who have been chosen to save animals in trouble all over the world. When Louise was 10-years old, she recruited the assistance of her mom to turn her writings into a full-fledged chapter book!
Once printed, a handful of copies of Magic Charms: The Adventure Begins were distributed to family and friends. Before long, word got out about this budding young author, and Louise was invited to speak to various groups of students in the Nazareth Area School District about her journey in writing and publishing her own book. While Louise received a crash-course in public speaking, this experience also allowed her to connect with her audience and inspire many young minds to pursue their dreams.

Less than one year after the publication of her first book, Louise is pleased to announce the launch of her second book in the Magic Charms series, entitled Magic Charms: The Kangaroo Kraze.
In celebration of the release of her newest title, Louise and her family will be hosting an author meet and greet event on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the James H. Davey Social Hall (Lookout Fire Co.), located at 11 N. Robinson Ave. in Pen Argyl, PA. Please join Louise for book signing, light refreshments, and fun photo opportunities with real props used in the making of the Magic Charms book cover! Copies of both of Louise’s books will also be available for purchase during this celebration.
