Nazareth Library Board Creating Finance Committee

The Nazareth Memorial Library Board needs your help.

The library board is seeking three-to-five people who have a background in finance or investment to serve on an ad hoc committee.

The committee will determine its meeting schedule but the duration of the committee is anticipated to be less than a year.

The committee will be asked to advise the board on strategies and options for the library's reserve balance.

The balance, which was created by contributions, is used to offset funding shortfalls and both a short-term and long-term strategy is needed.

The announcement was made at Thursday night's Nazareth Borough Council worksession by Councilman Carl Fischl.
