How Many Crimes Did Nazareth Police Handle in July?

Vandalism and larceny theft were among the crimes that Nazareth Police investigated in July.

The Nazareth Police Department investigated 32 crimes during July, according to a report prepared by Police Chief Thomas Trachta.

Between June 29 and July 31, the police department had 32 crimes that were reported with 29 follow-up investigations leading to 16 arrests and 11 hours of court time.

Those crimes included 13 for vandalism, five for larceny theft, three each for assault and disorderly conduct, two for drunkenness and one each for burglary and fraud.

The police department handed out 13 traffic tickets and issued 11 warnings.

There were also three traffic accidents and eight that weren't reported.

Regarding parking enforcement, there were 174 parking meter violations, 62 non-meter violations issued and 236 parking tickets.

Nazareth collected $7,836.80 in income for July, including $1,047.35 in criminal fines and $1,045 in parking meter tickets. 

The report is delivered to the Nazareth Borough Council every month.
