The Average SAT Score For New Hope-Solebury Students In 2017

The PA Department of Education recently released average SAT scores for each public high school. Here's how New Hope-Solebury did.

The Pennsylvania Department of Education recently released average SAT scores for each public high school in the state. A perfect score on the test, which is administered by the College Board, is 1600. The reading and writing portion has 800 possible points, and the math portion also has 800 possible points.

The average score for New Hope-Solebury High School in 2017 was 1213. The average reading and writing score was 606 and the average math score was 609. There was a total of 129 test takers.

New Hope-Solebury was the second highest-scoring public school in Bucks County, behind Council Rock North. Students at Council Rock North averaged a score of 1217.

The highest scoring school in the state was Western Area Career and Technology Center, where students averaged a score of 1450.

The SAT is an entrance exam used by most colleges and universities during the admission process. The test it is just one factor and is typically considered in conjunction with GPA, academic transcript, letters of recommendation, extracurricular activities, interviews, and personal essays, according to the Princeton Review.
