Bucks Co. Native Pink Recovered From Coronavirus, Donates $1M
Singer Pink, a Bucks County native, has recovered from coronavirus. She donated $1M to two causes to help fight the virus.
BUCKS COUNTY, PA —Singer Pink, a Bucks County native, has recovered from coronavirus and has donated $1 million — including $500,000 to Temple University Hospital — to help fight the virus. The donation to the Philadelphia hospital is in honor of her mother, Judy Moore, who worked there for 18 years.
Additionally, Pink has donated $500,000 to the Los Angeles Mayor's Emergency COVID-19 Crisis Fund.
The singer, who was raised in Doylestown, made the announcement Friday on Twitter.

Two weeks ago, she and her son were showing signs of COVID-19, and she tested positive. "Just a few days ago we were re-tested and are now thankfully negative," she wrote.
She said it is "an absolute travesty and failure of our government to not make testing more widely available." Pink did not detail her experience with the illness but did say "this is serious and real."

In a follow up Tweet announcing the donations, Pink thanked health care workers for their heroism during the crisis. She added: "These next two weeks are crucial: please stay home. Please. Stay. Home."
