The Golden Pheasant Inn was auctioned Monday. A sale is pending for $1.25 million, the auction company says.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA – The Golden Pheasant Inn, located along the river in Erwinna, was auctioned Monday for $1.25 million, according to real estate auction company Traiman, which organized the sale.
The inn, which is included on the Registry of Historic Places, was operated by the Faure family for the past 35 years. In January 2012, it underwent a complete restoration and was consistently given an Award of Excellence from "Wine Spectator." It also received the diner's choice award from OpenTable last year.
However, owners closed the doors for good on June 2 after the sudden passing of family matriarch Barbara Faure.
