Stories in the Vineyard

June 7, 2021, Stockton, NJ – On Saturday, June 19th, from 3 pm to 5 pm, nonprofit Storytelling Arts, will cohost with Federal Twist Vineyard in Stockton, New Jersey, an afternoon of unique storytelling. Professional storytellers will share powerful stories that seed empathy and broaden perspectives about our shared human experience. This event will provide funding to the organization’s ongoing storytelling programs in schools and communities. An illuminating afternoon is promised with all the benefits of being located in this magnificent vineyard. Meet five of the organization’s storytellers who will perform powerful original stories and folktales that they share throughout New Jersey. Federal Twist Vineyard is located north of Stockton, New Jersey, at 8 Federal Twist Rd, just off Route 29.

Along with an extensive Silent Auction, wine tasting, and a magnificent pastoral setting of vineyards and rolling hills, guests should plan to bring blankets or chairs. Federal Twist Vineyard will be open to the public from 1 pm to 5 pm where they will offer wine tastings, a food station, and live music. Guests are welcomed to bring their own picnics and can purchase vineyard wine. Storytelling Arts’ event is scheduled from 3 pm to 5 pm. Entry to the vineyard for the general public is $5. Storytelling Arts attendees have a suggested $20 tax-deductible donation to support their ongoing programs. Donations will be gratefully received and storytelling visitors may enter the vineyard earlier if desired.

Storytelling Arts is a nonprofit organization founded in 1996 to use storytelling as a tool to build literacy, strengthen communities, and nurture the human spirit. Proceeds support educational programs in under-resourced New Jersey communities.
