Tuesday night: The incoming storm is predicted to start as rain on Tuesday night. Precipitation will likely switch to snow shortly after midnight.
Wednesday morning: Precipitation turns to all snow.
Wednesday midday: The heaviest snow is predicted to fall from midday Wednesday through the evening. There may be a period of time where snow mixes with sleet and rain during the day Wednesday, especially closer to I-95 corridor, but precipitation will primarily be "heavy, wet snow," according to the NWS. Winds expected to pick up between 4 and 6 p.m.
Wednesday night: Snow tapers off by late evening.
"Plan on difficult travel conditions, including during the evening commute on Wednesday. Be prepared for significant reductions in visibility at times. Wind gusts up to 35 mph are possible. With this being a heavy, wet snow, it is likely that trees and power lines could be brought down from the weight of the accumulating snow, resulting in power outages," the NWS said.
This latest nor'easter comes on the heels of Friday's storm, which PECO says was one of the worst in its history. It knocked out power to a half a million people in Eastern Pennsylvania. As of Tuesday morning, more than 26,000 PECO customers are without power.
