Iconic Bucks Co. Inn To Be Auctioned This Month

The iconic Golden Pheasant Inn will be auctioned off later this month.

ERWINNA,PA — An iconic Bucks County inn will be auctioned off later this month.

The Golden Pheasant Inn, located along the river in Erwinna, will be auctioned on July 22 at 2 p.m. Previews will be held Monday, July 15 from 1 to 4 p.m. and on auction day from noon to 2 p.m.

The inn, which is included on the Registry of Historic Places, has been operated by the Faure family for the past 35 years. In January 2012, it underwent a complete restoration and was consistently given an Award of Excellence from "Wine Spectator." It also received the diner's choice award from OpenTable last year.

However, owners closed the doors for good on June 2 after the sudden passing of family matriarch Barbara Faure.

Her death "inspired deep reflection upon how precious time is with those you love. Our growing families and long days away from them have prompted us to reevaluate our lifestyles," the business owners said in a statement.

The business, including all equipment, and liquor license will be auctioned.
