Jack Thompson, Doylestown Businessman, Buys Golden Pheasant Inn
Jack Thompson, owner of the Doylestown-based automotive dealer group, has purchased the the Golden Pheasant Inn, the Inquirer reports.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Jack Thompson, owner of the Doylestown-based automotive dealer group, the Thompson Organization, purchased the Golden Pheasant Inn in the auction last month, according to a report by the Philadelphia Inquirer.
The local businessman also owns The Black Bass and the Lumberville General Store.
The Golden Pheasant Inn, located in Tinicum Township, was auctioned off on July 22. The winning price was $1.25 million.

The inn, which is included on the Registry of Historic Places, was operated by the Faure family for the past 35 years. In January 2012, it underwent a complete restoration and was consistently given an Award of Excellence from "Wine Spectator." It also received the diner's choice award from OpenTable last year
However, owners closed the doors for good on June 2 after the sudden passing of family matriarch Barbara Faure.

Her death "inspired deep reflection upon how precious time is with those you love. Our growing families and long days away from them have prompted us to reevaluate our lifestyles," the business owners said in a statement.
It is not clear what Thompson intends to do with the property.
