Lambertville Confirms First Coronavirus Case
New Jersey had among its highest number of new cases in one day on Tuesday, with 846 additional positive tests.

LAMBERTVILLE, NJ — Lambertville confirmed its first positive case of the new coronavirus on Tuesday, Mayor Julia Fahl announced.
The city said it is working directly with the County Department of Health and the state to monitor the local cases. Specific details on the age or gender of the patient were not released.
"Now, more than ever, we must come together as a community while protecting the health of our family, neighbors, and friends by following social distancing rules put in place by the Governor's Executive Orders," Fahl said in a statement on the city's website.

"We are a resilient community and working together we will persevere," she added.
Gov. Phil Murphy said New Jersey had its largest number of coronavirus deaths reported in one day on Tuesday.

Murphy said the state also had among its highest number of new cases in one day, with 846 additional positive tests and 17 more deaths. The case number was lower than what was reported on Monday: 935.
New Jersey now has 3,675 positive cases – the second largest in the country – and 44 deaths.
