LAMBERTVILLE, NJ — The City of Lambertville Environmental Commission will host a Sustainable Business Forum later this month to educate residents and business owners about the plastic bag ban going into effect next year.

The plastics ordinance was passed in September 2018 and will be mandatory as of January 1st, 2020.

Under the new law, businesses will prohibited from using plastic carryout bags or Styrofoam containers. Plastic straws may be provided to customers only upon request. All stores must offer a paper carryout bag or reusable bag.
