New Hope Kitten Left Momless At 1 Day Old Finds Forever Home
Omar was adopted just hours after the Bucks County SPCA shared his story — and adorable photos — on Facebook Tuesday.
NEW HOPE, PA — Omar, a 3-month-old New Hope feline who came to the BCSPCA’s Lahaska Animal Care Center as an “itty-bitty kitty,” has found his forever home.
The BCSPCA shared Omar’s story, and photos of his growth, on Facebook Tuesday in a push to get him adopted. Hours later, they updated the post to say he was going to a new home.
Shelter workers and foster parents began caring for Omar when he was just 1 day old.

“Without a mom cat around to care for him it was essential that he was bottle fed every few hours, assisted with eliminating, and kept warm,” the BCSPCA wrote. “This is a critical situation for kittens as they are extremely weak and are reliant on their caretaker for everything until they are about 4 weeks old.”
As evidenced by the photos above, Omar received the attention he needed.

“This lucky boy received around the clock care from one of our amazing fosters and with regular visits at by our vet team, he grew up to be healthy and strong!” the BCSPCA said.
Although Omar may have a family now, lots of other kittens in Bucks County shelters still need care. The BCSPCA urged cat lovers to consider donating items on their kitten wish list which include heating discs, formula, kitten food, and a nipple for bottle feeding.
