New Hope Is Philly Region's 5th Most Expensive Suburb

There are many obvious perks to living in New Hope. To enjoy them, you'll pay a hefty price.
New Hope is now the region's fifth most expensive place to purchase a home. That's according to an analysis by Philadelphia Magazine, which lists the Philadelphia region's 50 most expensive neighborhoods for home purchases.

The average home purchase price in New Hope in 2018 was $766,610 — up 14 percent from the year before.
The only place in Bucks County with pricier real estate is Upper Makefield, where last year's average purchase price was $940,886. Other communities that round out the top five of most expensive Philly neighborhoods include Villanova, Gladwyne, and Chestnut Hill.

Several other Bucks County communities are among the 50 most expensive places in the Philadelphia region, including Solebury Township (9th), Newtown (14th), Wrightstown (15th), and Buckingham (34th).
