New Hope-Solebury Ranked A Top Suburban School By Philly Mag

NEW HOPE, PA — With schools facing some of their toughest challenges ever educating students during the coronavirus pandemice, a Philly magazine is honoring the area's top institutions — and a New Hope school is on the list.

New Hope-Solebury High School made Philadelphia Magazine's recently published list of the 40 Top-Rated Public High Schools in Philadelphia and the Suburbs.

The magazine used data from the Pennsylvania and New Jersey departments of education and the National Center for Education Statistics to look at factors such as enrollment, student-teacher ratio, SAT scores, and students who go on to attend college, among other factors.

The list features 40 schools, 15 of which are located in the city. The remaining 25 are all suburban schools in Delaware, Chester, Bucks, and Montgomery counties, as well as New Jersey.

• Graduation percentage: 93 percent
• College percentage: 96%
• Student-teacher ratio: 12:1
• SAT scores (verbal/math): 608/597
