New Hope-Solebury Schools Closed Friday

NEW HOPE, PA — New Hope-Solebury School District schools are closed Friday, March 13.

As of Thursday afternoon, Pennsylvania has 21 cases of the virus, also known as COVID-19. All schools in Montgomery County, where there are 13 cases as of Thursday, have been closed by order of Governor Tom Wolf. Several districts in Bucks County have announced Friday closures, including Council Rock and Central Bucks.

The number of cases of the illness continues to rise. The World Health Organization on Wednesday officially declared the outbreak a pandemic.
