Peddler's Village 'Grand Illumination' 2018 Set For Nov. 16

Santa will illuminate one of the area's most popular holiday light shows during a celebration on Nov. 16 at Peddler's Village.

LAHASKA, PA — Move over scarecrows, it's time for holiday lights.

The "Grand Illumination" event at Peddler's Village is set for Friday, Nov. 16. That's when the shopping village will switch on its ever-popular holiday light display for the season.

The village will light up for the holidays at 6:15 p.m. sharp that evening.

Of course, Santa will be there to get the festivities started. Local groups will perform live entertainment. There will complimentary hot apple cider and marshmallow roasting, and you can see the winners of the Gingerbread House Competition & Display.

The event is free but it does get crowded, so it's best to arrive early.

The annual light display is one of the area's most popular holiday season attractions. It's made up of one million lights throughout the village.

If you're already feeling in the holiday spirit, you can get the celebration started early. On Friday, Nov. 9, Peddler's Village will host the Kickoff to the Holidays from 6 to 9 p.m. That event will feature caroling, music, a light parade, free refreshments, and more. At 7:30 p.m., the Giggleberry Fair tree lighting will be held.
