Prepare For The Upcoming Solar Eclipse At Friday Event In New Hope
Learn about the upcoming eclipse from local experts, plus get a free pair of special viewing glasses at an event Friday in New Hope.

On Aug. 21, a solar eclipse will be visible across the United States for the first time since 1918.
If the weather holds up, it should be visible across Pennsylvania, experts say. And while you shouldn't expect to get a total solar eclipse, you can get ready now to see some action in the skies.
To prepare for the partial eclipse, the New Hope-Solebury Library is hosting a special event Friday, July 28.

Representatives from the Bucks-Mont Astronomical Association will be at the local library from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. to teach participants how eclipses occur, what will happen during the eclipse and how to view the eclipse safely.
The best part: everyone who comes will get a free pair of special glasses to use when viewing the partial solar eclipse. (While supplies last.)
