Scarecrows Returning To Peddler's Village For 2019 Display
Is there anything that screams "fall is coming" more than the scarecrow debut at Peddler's Village?

LAHASKA, PA — Is there anything that screams fall is coming more than the scarecrow debut at Peddler's Village?
It's true: the time has almost come for the scarecrows to make their annual debut at the Lahaska shopping village. The 2019 scarecrow season begins Monday, Sept. 9. They'll be on display through Sunday, Oct. 27.
It's the 40th annual scarecrow display at Peddler's Village.

This year's display will feature more than 100 scarecrows created by the public. The categories are: Quite the Character, Traditional Turns 40, Thrills with Chills, Upcycled Crow, Pink Out!, and Kids Only.
Individuals and organizations are encouraged to submit an entry. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place. The grand prize winner will receive $350 and a dinner for four at Cock ‘n Bull restaurant.

Entry forms for Scarecrows in the Village are available online at PeddlersVillage.com or at the Hospitality Center at Cock ‘n Bull and are due by Sept. 4. Scarecrows must be dropped off on Sept. 8.
During the first three weeks of the contest, Peddler’s Village guests can vote for the winners. Ballots will be available in all shops and restaurants, the Hospitality Center at Cock ‘n Bull, and Giggleberry Fair, and the Peddler’s Village mobile app.
The Scarecrow Festival is planned for Sept. 14 and 15 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will include scarecrow-making workshops, pumpkin painting, live musical entertainment, children’s activities, and more.

To add to the fun, there will be free outdoor movies will be shown during the evenings on Friday, Sept. 13 and Saturday, Sept. 14.
“The Wizard of Oz” will be shown on Sept. 13 and “Hocus Pocus” on Sept.14. Both events will begin at 7:30 pm. Bring a chair or blankets.
