LAHASKA, PA — The highly-anticipated "Grand Illumination" event at Peddler's Village is this Friday, Nov. 16. That's when the local shopping venue will switch on its one million Christmas lights and the village will be aglow with holiday cheer.
It looks like officers with the Solebury Township Police Department are already feeling festive. The local police shared this video of how they're preparing ahead of the attraction, which draws thousands to the village during the holiday season.
The village will light up for the holidays at 6:15 p.m. sharp that evening.

Of course, Santa will be there to get the festivities started. Local groups will perform live entertainment. There will complimentary hot apple cider and marshmallow roasting, and you can see the winners of the Gingerbread House Competition & Display.
The event is free but it does get crowded, so it's best to arrive early. And as the police department's sign says, heavy traffic is expected.
