Solebury Police Warn Of Car Break-In Spree
Police in Solebury say they're aware of several cases of "smash and grab" thefts over the past week.
SOLEBURY, PA — Police in Solebury are warning residents to take care after multiple cases of vehicle break-ins over the past week.
On Tuesday, Solebury Police investigated a report of a theft from a vehicle parked in a lot off of Rt. 263 and Sugan Road. The victim's side window was broken and personal items were missing from the vehicle, police said.
In a news release, police said they're aware of similar thefts that have happened over the past week. They are urging residents to call police at 215-348-7400 if they see suspicious activity.

They also offered the following advice to help avoid "smash and grab" robberies:
- Before you get out of your vehicle, make sure valuables are out of sight.
- Never leave phones, purses or wallets, laptops or laptop bags, briefcases or backpacks, shopping bags, CDs or cash lying out in your vehicle.
- Try to park your vehicle in a highly visible spot.
- Always lock your doors and roll up your windows.
- Don't assume the glove box or console is a safe place. These are obvious to thieves, too.
- Never confront a suspected thief yourself. Report activity to the police.
