The bridges in New Hope and Upper Makefield are nearly 50 years old.
NEW HOPE, PA — A pair of bridges in New Hope and Upper Makefield have been re-opened after work on them was completed, PennDOT announced Friday.
Rehabilitation projects on the bridge carrying South Sugan Road over Aquetong Creek in New Hope and the one carrying Stonybrook Road over Jericho Creek in Upper Makefield are finished, according to PennDOT.
PennDOT’s contractor rehabilitated the structure over Jericho Creek by adding concrete overlay to the bridge deck, performing concrete substructure repairs, replacing and resealing the bridge deck joints, installing scour rock protection and milling and paving the roadway.
