Tabby’s Place to break ground on Quinn’s Corner on Sunday 6/13
Tabby's Place is set to change the world for cats yet again.

On Sunday, June 13th at 2:00pm, Tabby’s Place: a Cat Sanctuary will break ground on Quinn’s Corner, a haven for two exceptionally vulnerable classes of cats. Cat lovers are cordially invited to join the celebration via livestream at https://www.facebook.com/TabbysPlace/.
Since opening in 2003, Tabby’s Place has been sought after globally for its unmatched care of Special Needs cats, and its tender embrace of those felines who “no one else wants.” Despite this, two groups of cats have remained “unwanted” and underserved due to their extraordinary needs. That’s all about to change.
Quinn’s Corner will grow Tabby’s Place from 7,000 to 12,000 sq. ft., allowing the sanctuary to embrace two classes of cats with few options for survival: cats infected with feline leukemia virus (FeLV), and fragile newborn kittens.

On the surface, loving, playful FeLV+ cats look no different from others. But these cats are infected with one of the most feared and poorly understood conditions in the feline kingdom. The disease is difficult to diagnose and manage and requires a high level of individualized care. Similarly, neonatal kittens need intensive nurturing and diligent monitoring. These little ones often arrive at Tabby’s Place without their mothers, rendering them utterly dependent on expert human care.
Few shelters have the resources to embrace FeLV+ cats or fragile kittens. But Tabby’s Place believes these felines deserve a chance to thrive.

The answer to their plight will be Quinn’s Corner, a world-class haven specifically designed around the needs of FeLV+ cats and newborn kittens. Named for Quinn, an FeLV+ Tabby’s Place alumna, the expansion will be one of very few refuges for these fragile felines. This will be a costly labor of love, but thanks to a generous initial donation from Quinn’s adopter, the sanctuary is 75% of the way towards the funding needed to build and operate Quinn’s Corner.
To help make this joyful dream come true, donors have the opportunity to name an area of Quinn’s Corner with a company name or the name of a beloved pet or person, leaving a legacy that will nurture thousands of cats in the years to come. For additional information about naming opportunities, contact Development Director Angela Hartley at ah@tabbysplace.org or 908-237-5300 ext 235.
