Road Closures In Solebury Due To Tropical Storm Isaias

Downed trees, utility poles and power lines forced several road closures Tuesday, according to the Solebury Township Police Department.

SOLEBURY TOWNSHIP, PA—The Solebury Township Police Department is urging residents to avoid operating vehicles on roadways for the next several hours so crews can continue to restore power, remove trees, debris, and repair downed utility poles.

Damage is extensive in many parts of Solebury, police said. If you must travel, police are urging you to drive with caution. Road closed signs as well as barricades are on many roads, keeping traffic from downed power lines that may be energized.

Many trees, utility poles and power lines are down, police added.

The below list contains area roadways that are posted closed:

  • Lower Mountain Road between Street Road and Aquetong Road is closed
  • Street Road is closed at Atkinson Road
  • Aquetong Road between Rt. 263 and Upper Mountain Road is closed.
  • Lower Mountain Road is closed between Route 202 and Aquetong Road.
  • Route 202 between Lower Mountain Road and Ingham Road is closed.
  • Route 232 between Aquetong Road and Old Windy Bush Road (south) is closed.
  • River Road between Aquetong Road and Rt. 232 is closed.
  • Route 202 closed between Street Road and Upper Mountain Road.
  • Sugan Road closed at Laurel RdGreenhill Road closed between Rt. 263 and Aquetong Road.
  • River Road closed between Rt. 263 and Laurel Sugan Road is closed between Meetinghouse Road and Chapel Road.

Route 202 southbound (only) from New Jersey into Pennsylvania is limited to passenger vehicle traffic only until further notice. Use alternate routes. Route 202 is closed between Lower Mountain Road and Aquetong Road with no alternate routes available for large commercial vehicles.
