'Turkey Trot' Set For Thanksgiving In Lambertville, New Hope

Work off that Thanksgiving feast before you even eat it.

LAMBERTVILLE, NJ — Work off that Thanksgiving feast before you even eat it by participating in the third annual Two Town Turkey Trot. The 5K race will be held Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, Nov. 22.

The race, which is held rain, shine, or snow, starts at 8 a.m. at the Lambertville Station. Runners should arrive no later than 7:30 a.m.

The course goes from Lambertville over the bridge and through the streets of New Hope, then back across the bridge and through Lambertville’s historic downtown business district.

During the race, streets on the course will be closed to all traffic. The following New Hope Borough roads will be closed during the race: East & West Bridge Streets, South Main Street, New Street, West Mechanic Street, West Ferry Street, & Stockton Avenue. "Plan your travels accordingly," police advise.

Runners will be electronically chip timed, and the first 1,000 runners who pre-register will receive a commemorative race shirt. Race registration is $35 in advance or $45 the day of the race.

Proceeds will support the Delaware River Towns Chamber of Commerce programs and nonprofit Fisherman’s Mark.
