The ongoing pandemic has forced some of the area’s most frequented pumpkin patches to adjust hours, regulations and offerings as they head into fall.

But, don't fear: There are still many pumpkin patches in and near Newtown where you can have some outdoor fall fun.

SHADY BROOK FARM

What: Shady Brook Farm's annual Fallfest features include pumpkin picking, corn maze, wagon rides, and more.

EASTBURN PUMPKIN PATCH

What: Small, family-owned pumpkin patch offering a variety of pumpkins and gourds.
Where: 1085 Durham Rd, Pineville
When: Opening day for pumpkin season is Sept. 26

FROEHLICH'S FARM

What: Froehlich's Farm hosts a Fall Festival featuring a pick-your-own pumpkin patch, a five-acre corn maze, a hay maze, and more. Safety precautions will be in place, including a reservations-only policy. You can view the fall festival protocols here. If you want to just visit the pumpkin patch, you can do that on Fridays from 3 to 6 p.m. No admission fee for the pumpkin patch only, and reservations not needed.

When: Weekends from Sept. 26 to Oct. 31.

What: The Fall Festival features a variety of activities, including pumpkins, hayrides, corn mazes and more. Safety precautions are in place, including social distancing and masks.
