Best-Selling Author Coming to Newtown Library Company on Thursday

Patti Sheey will be joined by Frank Mederos, whose stories about escaping Cuba are the basis of the author's fictional books

Best-selling author Patti Sheehy will be reading selections from her books at the Newtown Library Company on Thursday.

Sheehy, who is from Yardley, will be joined by Frank Mederos, whose true-life stories of escaping from communist Cuba are the basis of Sheehy’s fictional novels, at 7 p.m.

The Boy Who Said No: An Escape to Freedom and Stalked: The Boy Who Said No, both chronicle Mederos’ story.
