Bookin' For Lookin' Charity Race Held to Help Fight Blindness

The event , in its third year, will be held April 19 at Council Rock North High School

The Bookin’ for Lookin’ Foundation will be holding its annual charity race on April 19 at Council Rock North High School.

The event, which is in its third year, raises money to flight blindness. Proceeds benefit the Bucks County Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired and the Foundation Fighting Blindness.

Participants can enter an 8-mile run or a 5-klimometer run. The event also offers a kids’ 1-mile fun run. In addition, participants ages 5-14 can enter the Kids Marathon Challenge.

In the challenge, participants log the number of miles the run prior to race day to reach 25.2 miles. On the day of the event, they can run their final mile to complete the challenge.

The event featured 240 entrants last year and hopes to eclipse 300 this year.

Costs to register for the 8-mile run is $30 and the 5k race is $25. The Kids Fun Run is $15. To register visit www.bookinforlookin.com. Processing fee may be applied.

Participants must register by Monday, April 6. Anyone not interested in running or is not able to participate in the event can volunteer. Visit the web site for more information.
