Car Crashes Into Store At Village At Newtown Shopping Center
The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Newtown Township Police Department.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA ? A Honda crashed through the front of a store at the Village at Newtown Shopping Center Wednesday afternoon, causing quite a scene off West Road.
The Newtown Township Police Department, along with Newtown Fire Rescue and the Newtown Ambulance Squad, were dispatched to the scene for the report of a vehicle into a building off of West Road.
When emergency responders arrived, they found a Honda sitting inside the Crumbl Cookies store, which sells freshly-baked, large, gourmet cookies.

Police said there were no injuries to the occupants of the vehicle, shopping center pedestrians or anyone who was inside the store.
The crash brought a large response by police, fire and emergency medical personnel.

Firefighters worked to remove the vehicle from the building while police handled traffic and onlookers.

Police said they are investigating the cause of the accident. In addition, building inspectors will be assessing the damage. It?s unclear how long the store will be closed.
This is the third time a car has crashed into a storefront at the busy shopping center off of Eagle Road.
On Black Friday, November 2024, a car jumped the curb and slammed through a support beam and into the building at the Body20 store located at the opposite end of the shopping center.
And in February 2024, an SUV plowed through the front window at the Ulta Beauty Store not far from Crumbl Cookies.
Fortunately, in all three incidents, there were either only minor or no injuries.
