Council Rock Appoints New Director Of Business Administration
The Council Rock Board of School Directors formally approved Donald Irwin, Jr., as the district's new Director of Business Administration.

NEWTOWN, PA — The Council Rock Board of School Directors formally approved Donald Irwin, Jr., as the district's new Director of Business Administration with a start date of Sept. 1.
Irwin comes to Council Rock from Neshaminy School District where he served as business manager since 2019. In that role, he managed a $185 million budget and oversaw operational areas including facilities, information technology and food service.
Prior to working in the Neshaminy School District, Irwin served as Business Manager/Superintendent of Westmont School District from 2014 to 2019. He also held the title of business manager at Ligonier Valley School District from 2011-2014, Richland School District from 2004-2011, and Greater Johnstown School District from 1996-2003. In these positions, he participated in strategic planning, led negotiation teams and managed major construction projects, the district said.

Irwin holds a Master of Public Management degree from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelor of art's in accounting from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. He currently resides in Council Rock School District with his wife, Shelly, to whom he has been married for 31 years. They have four adult daughters.
