Council Rock Offering Support To Students Impacted By Events In Israel

NEWTOWN, PA ? In a letter to the community on Wednesday, Council Rock Superintendent Dr. Andrew Sanko said the school district is offering support to students and families impacted by the events unfolding in Israel and Gaza.

"Our hearts are with those impacted by the horrific events in the Middle East. This highly visible situation generates images and media coverage that bring the tragedy closer to us all," said Sanko. "These unfolding events can be especially distressing to children and anyone with family and/or cultural connections to Israel and Gaza.

"We understand that students and staff of all backgrounds may be affected," the superintendent writes. "Council Rock continues its commitment to providing support for our students whenever

tragic situations arise. As always, our priority is to provide students with a safe and secure learning environment.

Should any child need support or guidance, Sanko encourages them to reach out directly to their school counselor or principal.

"Our goal is the health, safety, and welfare of every student, and we stand with our entire community in compassion and care for every affected family," he said.
