Council Rock Plans to Nominate Dr. Robert Fraser as New Superintendent

The vote for Fraser will be held at the Board's meeting on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m.

The Council Rock Board of School Directors announced Tuesday that it plans to appoint Robert Fraser as superintendent of schools at its regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday.

Fraser, who is currently serving as assistant superintendent in the West Chester Area School District, has an extensive educational background, earning his superintendent’s letter of eligibility in 2007 from the University of Pennsylvania, according to a district press release.

He obtained a mid-career doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Pennsylvania in 2008. Prior to his position as assistant superintendent, Fraser served as director of curriculum and instruction, according to the release.

The board reviewed 23 applications following a nationwide search, which began more than six months ago. The screening process included multiple interviews and meetings with the Board of Directors and key stakeholders, as well as parents, teachers, administrators and the community, according to the release.

Both the Board of School Directors and Fraser believe it is critical that members of the community are fully informed and have the opportunity to provide input and feedback prior to this vote being taken, according to the release. Members of the community are invited to attend the meeting, which begins at 7:30 p.m.
