New Bike Shop Opening In Newtown

NEWTOWN, PA — The owners of a popular bike shop in Doylestown are bringing their services to Newtown.
Brian Boger and Fran Taloricco, owners of Doylestown Bike Works, have announced the opening of Newtown Bike Works in the Promenade at Sycamore complex, near La Stalla Italian Market and next to Anthropologie.
"Opening a shop in Newtown is a great fit for us," co-owner Brian Boger said in a news release. "Many of our customers in Doylestown come up from Newtown, so we're glad to be able to bring our services to them."

Boger and Taloricco are targeting a Feb. 1 opening date, with a grand opening event planned in early February. They're also partnering with Giant Bicycles, Inc., which will be involved in the design and layout of the store.
The Bucks County natives formed the employee-owned Bike Works, LLC, in 2011 along with partners Kirk Palermo, Dan Turner, Paul Turner, and Egil Nilsson.

Turner, a licensed pro bicycle mechanic and the store's first-ever employee, will be manager of the Newtown store. The 3,000 square foot space will include a services department, retail area and a coffee bar at the front near the entrance.
“Dan has been instrumental in building this business over the last ten years and it only makes sense that he would lead this new endeavor and help establish us as a top-flight bike shop in this new market," Boger said.
