'Easy' Vs 'Chaotic': Council Rock Parents React To Virtual Start

Council Rock's online start has been "easy" with "hardly a glitch" for some, but "chaotic and stressful" for others.

NEWTOWN, PA — Council Rock's virtual instruction is off to a smooth start, according to school officials. But parents, when asked by Patch, shared mixed feelings related to the online start.

Council Rock School District Community Relations Specialist Susan O'Grady said there were no major technological glitches Tuesday, as students resumed classes in the virtual format.

"As a result of an abundance of dedicated planning and teamwork between our teachers, support staff, and the administration over the summer months, we got off to a successful start yesterday," O'Grady said.

Council Rock will remain in the virtual format through Sept. 29, when students who elected the hybrid model will resume some in-school instruction.

Parents who responded to Patch's inquiry about the how the start of school was going Tuesday were mixed in their reactions.

While one said "it has been easy, hardly a glitch" another responded by saying "it is chaotic and stressful."
