Frenchtown Market Sells $1 Million Powerball Ticket

Someone in Frenchtown got lucky.

FRENCHTOWN, NJ — The Frenchtown Market in Hunderdon County sold a $1 million winning Powerball ticket for Wednesday's drawing, lottery officials announced.

The local winner matched five out of five white balls drawn, winning the $1,000,000 second-tier prize. The Frenchtown Market is located at 28 Sixth St.

The winning numbers for the Wednesday, March 27 drawing were: 16, 20, 37, 44 and 62. The Red Power Ball number was 12. The Multiplier number was 03.

A Wisconsin ticketholder was the lucky winner of the $768.4 million Powerball jackpot for Wednesday's drawing.

The Powerball jackpot will now reset to $40,000,000 for the next drawing, to be held Saturday, March 30.

In addition to the $1 million prizewinning ticket sold in Frenchtown, there were nine New Jersey Lottery tickets sold that matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball drawn, winning the $50,000 third-tier prize. One of those tickets was purchased with the Power Play Multiplier option, multiplying the prize to $150,000.
