Here's The Forecast For The Newtown Holiday Parade Sunday
The Newtown Holiday Parade is Sunday. Here's what you can expect from the weather that day:

NEWTOWN, PA — Organizers are gearing up for the 9th annual Newtown Holiday Parade, which is set for Sunday, Dec. 8. The parade will step off at 2 p.m.
But first, what's the forecast for the popular parade?
As of Thursday, it looks like it will be about as good as you could expect for a December day.

The National Weather Service is predicting mostly sunny skies, with a high near 45 degrees. Rain is not in the forecast.
The parade route begins on South State Street at the Stocking Works Building and continues north on State Street, turning left onto Washington Ave, then turning right onto Sycamore Street and coming to an end at the Durham Road, just past the Green Parrot.

The event, sponsored by McCaffrey's Food Markets and organized by the Newtown Business Association, is expected to have 1,800 participants. More than 5,000 people are expected to be in attendance to watch the parade.
Participants will include the Council Rock Marching bands, Philadelphia's Mummers Bands, horse drawn carriages, floats, antique cars, color guard, fire truck with Santa and more.
