NEWTOWN, PA — While date night may not feel quite the same during a pandemic, local restaurants and businesses in Newtown are offering deals and specials for couples looking to celebrate the occasion, whether it be at a romantic restaurant or right at home.

The Washington Crossing Inn is taking reservations for Valentine's Day weekend, offering romantic and safely distanced indoor dining or outside under their heated tent. Alternatively, you can order takeout for a cozy meal at home from their special Valentine's Day menu.

Rocco's at the Brick has Valentine's Day specials featuring a shellfish bouquet for two, a seared ahi tuna appetizer, lobster risotto and filet mignon and lobster tail with a brown butter whipped potato.

Lovers can roast marshmallows over a private campfire at Shady Brook Farm in Lower Makefield, but if you prefer to stay in, you can order their Surf and Turf romantic dinner package along with handmade chocolates, a bouquet of roses and a bottle of rosé from Rose Bank Winery.

Newtown Brewing Company is offering a paired beer and chocolate flight for $25 throughout the weekend, along with Valentine's Day-themed trivia on Saturday. More info.

The Grey Stone Fine Food Spirits is offering specials all weekend long, including a dessert trio of chocolate blackout cake, crème brulee and chocolate covered strawberries.

Crossing Vineyards is offering specials on chocolate cocktails, sweet wine flights and more from the bar Saturday through Sunday. No cover charge.

Vecchia Osteria's Valentine's Menu includes grilled calamari & shrimp, burrata, lovers lobster ravioli, pappardella veal shank, sacchetini, branzino, New Zealand lamb chops, stuffed salmon and New York Strip Steak.
