NEWTOWN, PA ? Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant announced on Thursday that it has closed all of its locations, including its brewery and restaurant at the Village at Newtown shopping center.

When the Newtown restaurant opened in 2020, celebration was in the air as the founders - home brewers Kevin Finn and Mark Edelstein - took part in a traditional first pour and raised a toast to Newtown's newest eatery and brew pub.

On Thursday morning, just five years later, it was a vastly different story. Signs on the door and postings on Facebook announced the sudden closure of the entire Delaware-based chain over ongoing financial challenges and a decision to file for bankruptcy.
