Lane Closures Planned Next Week On Newtown Bypass

Expect periodic lane closures next week on the Newtown Bypass as PennDOT works to install ADA curb ramps.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Expect periodic lane closures next week on the Newtown Bypass as PennDOT works to install ADA curb ramps at several intersections.

The work will be done starting Monday, June 10, through Friday, June 14, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Three intersections in Newtown Township will be impacted, as well as two in nearby Lower Makefield.

The work schedule includes the following local intersections:

  • Route 413 (Newtown Bypass) and Route 532 (Durham Road) in Newtown Township
  • Route 413 (Newtown Bypass) and Newtown Langhorne Road in Newtown Township
  • Route 532 (Durham Road) and Route 532 (Sycamore Street/ Washington Crossing) in Newtown Township
  • Mirror Lake Road and Yardley Langhorne Road in Lower Makefield Township
  • Stony Hill Road and Cardinal Drive in Lower Makefield Township.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur, PennDOT said.

The work schedule is dependent on the weather.
