Lane Closures Planned This Week On Newtown Roadways

NEWTOWN, PA — Temporary lane closures are planned along Rt. 413 and Rt. 532 next week, and drivers could encounter slow downs, PennDOT said.

From Monday, Dec. 10, through Friday, Dec. 14 daytime lane closures at three local intersections are scheduled part of a countywide project to install ADA curb ramps.

The work schedule includes the following local intersections:

• Route 413 and Route 532 in Newtown Township
• Route 413 and Newtown Langhorne Road in Newtown Township
• Route 532 and Sycamore Street/ Washington Crossing Road in Newtown Township

Other nearby streets to be impacted include:

• Main Street and Afton Avenue in Yardley Borough
• Main Street and Letchworth Avenue in Yardley Borough
• Main Street and Reading Avenue in Yardley Borough
• Mirror Lake Road and Yardley Langhorne Road in Lower Makefield Township
• Stony Hill Road and Cardinal Drive in Lower Makefield Township
• Big Oak Road and Makefield Road in Lower Makefield Township

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather.
