'Movies In The Park' To Bring The Witches To Newtown

And don't miss the annual Newtown Halloween Parade set for Saturday, Oct. 28.

NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA ? The Newtown Borough Recreation Board is scaring up some Halloween fun for the remaining weeks of October.

On Friday, Oct, 20 beginning at 6 p.m., the board will be hosting its annual Halloween Movie in the Park at Linton Memorial Park at South Lincoln Avenue and Penn Street. The featured movie is "The Witches."

In addition, the board will be hosting its annual Halloween Parade on Saturday, October 28.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. at the Stocking Works followed by judging at 9:30. The parade will march north on State Street ending at Brian Gregg Park where costume contest winners will be announced.

The costume contest features 10 categories: Best Homemade Costume, Group Theme, Halloween Horror, Halloween Humor, Pampered Pets, Parent & Child, Cutest Couple (any group of two), Storybook & Fantasy, TV & Movies, and Best Float. All are welcome.
