New Details Emerge In Gunpoint Robbery Of Valuable Watch In Newtown
On September 11, police responded to Autumn Drive where a man was robbed of a watch valued as high as $170,000.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA ? New details are emerging in an armed robbery that took place in a township neighborhood on Sept. 11.
During that incident, Newtown Township Police reported that two men robbed a man at gunpoint in the Norwalk development, stealing his wrist watch. At the time, police gave no value for the stolen timepiece.
The incident happened around 8 p.m. when police said two men armed with semi-automatic handguns approached the resident and forced him to turn over a watch he was wearing.

New details reported by 6ABC this week have revealed that the victim, the owner of a Philadelphia jewelry store, had been followed home from the city by two men looking for the right opportunity to steal the watch, which is valued at between $150,000 and $170,000.
An earlier social media posting made by the jeweler on Instagram announcing the acquisition of the expensive rose-colored Patek Philippe timepiece caught the attention of the thieves, reports 6ABC.

Some time after the video posted, 6ABC reports that a man in a COVID mask came into the store. He is later seen leaving in a 2020 black Toyota Avalon on surveillance footage police obtained from the store.

According to the report, the gunmen followed the victim back to his home in Bucks County where they stole his cell phone and the valuable watch.
