Newtown-Area Fire Companies Host Santa Runs This Weekend

Three Newtown-area fire companies will be escorting Santa throughout town in special events this weekend.

NEWTOWN, PA — Three Newtown-area fire companies will be escorting Santa throughout town in special events this weekend.

The Newtown Fire Association's annual Santa Run event is set for Saturday. During the special event, Santa will be escorted around Newtown by local firefighters. He'll be riding on a firetruck; when you hear the sirens, you'll know he's near.

From 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Santa will be touring several neighborhoods, including Newtown Borough, Newtown Grant, Crown Point, The Ridings, Woods of Saxony, and more.

The Lingohocken Fire Company, which serves parts of Wrightstown and Upper Makefield, will also be holding its annual Santa Run event that day.

Here's the schedule for that event:

In Upper Makefield, the Upper Makefield Volunteer Fire Company will host its annual Santa Parade on Sunday. Firetrucks will escort Santa throughout the township starting at 10 a.m. He'll make his way through town until about 4 p.m. Non-perishable food donations will be accepted along the parade route.
