NEWTOWN, PA — The Newtown Police Department reported the following arrests and incidents between April 23 and April 29, 2021.
DUI Arrests
Around 12:15 a.m., April 23, police conducted a traffic stop on the driver of a silver Subaru for a vehicle code violation on Richboro Road and West Hanover Street. The driver was unable to satisfactorily perform field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence, police said.

Around 2:30 a.m., April 28, police conducted a traffic stop on the driver of a silver Toyota for a vehicle code violation on Richboro Road and West Hanover Street. The driver was unable to satisfactorily perform field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence, police said.
Probation Violator Located

Around 8 a.m., April 26, police were called to Dan's Auto Center in Wrightstown Township for a report of a disorderly male. Police verified an active arrest warrant for a probation violation and failure to appear. The person was taken into custody and a small amount of marijuana was discovered and seized as evidence. They were taken to the Northampton Township Police Department for processing and released.
Drug Possession Arrest Following Traffic Stop
Around 4:30 a.m., April 29, Newtown police carried out a traffic stop on a silver Toyota Matrix for a vehicle code violation on the Newtown Bypass near Richboro Road. Suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia were discovered and seized as evidence, authorities said. The driver was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. He was processed at the Northampton Township Police Department and released.
