Newtown Restaurant Celebrating 'Galentine's Day' With Freebies

NEWTOWN, PA — A Newtown restaurant will celebrate "Galentine's Day" on Feb. 13 with freebies and giveaways.

Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar is hosting the celebration, which will feature complimentary desserts and gift bags.

"Galentine's Day, which started as a fictional holiday thanks to a 2010 episode of Parks and Recreation, has blossomed into an annual event for those celebrating Valentine's Day one day early, together as a group," the restaurant explained in an event announcement.

A chocolate-covered strawberry dessert will be offered to all groups who dine together during the event. Additionally, guests who dine together will receive a Harvest tote bagged filled with various goodies.

The next night, Valentine's Day, Harvest will feature eight special menu additions through Feb. 17.

Menu additions include lobster ravioli; pan-seared halibut; plant-based red beet gnocchi and more.
