NEWTOWN, PA — The Bucks County Department of Health recorded violations at five bars and restaurants in Newtown during the first half of March.
Here's what health inspectors found:
Chick-Fil-A, 3 violations: Health worker observed an egg slicer stored with hardboiled eggs in the prep unit and a single service container stored with chicken; doors and handles of thaw cabinets are unclean with food debris; water from 3-compartment sink is not completely draining into the floor drain

George School Cafeteria, 2 violations: Internal temperatures of hot time/temperature controlled for safety (TCS) foods are below the minimum temperature permitted for hot holding of TCS foods; final rinse water gauge on the dish machine is not in good repair
Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant, 3 violations: Sanitizer concentration in the 3 compartment sink was too high; food in hot holding unit is not at safe temperature; time/tempaerture control for safety foods must be cold held at or below 41 degrees

Rose Bank Winery, 2 violations: No paper towels at the hand wash sink in the tasting room kitchen area; mechanical dishwasher not sanitizing properly
Vecchia Osteria, 4 violations: Food workers observed using bare hands for preparing ready to eat food; observed raw food stored over ready to eat food; time/temperature control for safety foods must be cold held at or below 41 degrees; ready-to-eat, time/temperature control for safety (TCS) foods located in the cold storage units are not date marked to show when they were opened or prepared.
